The East Port Said Port and Industrial Development Complex will be Egypt’s foremost transshipment hub and trade-oriented gateway. Port Said, adjacent to the Suez Canal, is one of the busiest ports in the world. Due to the increase in the Suez Canal, and the completed challenged project of excavating/dredging new Suez Canal which was completed in one year, then the east side of the Port Said is to be developed to continue the financial and economic growth of trade, potentially around 40,000,000m2 will become available for development. Egyptian Government decided to move forward with the soil improvement works of the first phase of East Port Said Industrial Zone Project. MENARD has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Engineering Authority of Egyptian Armed Forces (EAAF) on April 18th 2016, for design and build including the pre/post testing campaigns .The technique is Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD).
