Menard has been invited by M/s. Ghantoot Marine Constructions Sole Proprietorship LLC to design and execute Ground Improvement Works for “Al Forsan International Sports Resort Enhancement, Package 1. Ground improvement works by means of Vibro replacement (VC) using Dry bottom feed Stone Columns shall be required for the project of a total surface area of 31,082m2.
Ground Conditions
- Loose sand layers was continued to level -4.00 NADD (depth 7.9m) without present of dense layer.
- At some locations (GYM building) the loose to very loose layer was continued up to level -5.00 and -8.00 NADD (depth 9m to 12m).
- Ground water level: 0.80m below EGL.
Menard Solution
The soil improvement by Stone Columns with the following parameters will lead to achieve the required technical specifications in terms of limitation of settlements and increase bearing capacity.
